Does your tripod help you or hinder you? Remember, a tripod has only one function: to keep your camera steady. If it’s not doing that easily in all conditions, then you should be seriously thinking about getting one that actually does. This “Rant” will hopefully point you in the right direction.
What To Do BEFORE You Get a Flat Tire…
Your car may be one of the most important tools you have in your pursuit of that winning photograph! Flat tires happen and they can put a big hole in your plans. Being prepared can make your inconvenience as minimal as possible.

Know Your Gear – Your Camera (Scavenger Hunt!)
Think of your camera as a musician would think of their instrument. Your camera should be an extension of you. To help with that, I’ve compiled a list of helpful tools that are found on your camera. You should find them and work them into your methodology. You don’t need to learn them all at once, just know that they are there and be able to access them. It’ll only take you an hour or so to go through the list. Time well spent!
