After the Fire

A few years ago, a wildfire ravaged this part of Kings Canyon National Park. You can see the charred remains of the small trees and shrubs that populated this hillside gully. For those of you who live in or near fire prone areas, you know how it only takes a few months for the land to begin showing signs of new life. This image was taken in the Spring following the devastating fire.
