It was an early Alaskan morning and I was looking for a shot of Denali, one of the biggest mountains on the planet. It’s actually there, dominating the sky, but it’s elusive. Clouds obscure it 70% of the time, including this day. (Strike 1)
I was hedging my bets by setting up at Wonder Lake and hoping for a colorful sunrise to light up the clouds in case Denali didn’t show up, or even better, if it did. Clouds are great for sunrises but too many of them are not. There was Fall color in the tundra but the sky remained a cold grey. (Strike 2)
Then this moose wandered into the lake. (Home Run)
