Championship 1st and 2nd

On two different racing strategies, IndyCar Champion, Alex Palou (#10) rounds corner number 2 at Laguna Seca while the runner-up in the Championship, Kyle Kirkwood (#27), enters the track from the pits. In this race, Kirkwood finished 2nd and Palou finished a distant 8th but the overall IndyCar 2026 season championship went to Palou. Dominating the season, it was Palou’s 4th championship in a row!
