One of my favorite automobile periods is the “tail fin” era of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. That jet-age optimism and exuberance in styling was wonderful! These cars were huge, heavy barges that could barely turn, but inside and out, they made a statement. To be sure, these were big, floaty highway cruisers that ate up the straight, flat miles across the Great Plains in comfort for their passengers.
1959 was at the height of the era and this ’59 Cadillac Coupe de Ville was the biggest and baddest of them all!
