Fair Banks

This is looking downstream along the fair banks of the meandering Tanana River in Fairbanks, Alaska. At sunset on this late summer day the waters were still and almost lake-like. After a few hundred river miles this water will merge into the mighty Yukon River on its way out to the Bering Sea.
