The many micro falls pouring out of this mist shrouded cliff is like a setting from a fantasy novel. This detail of a wall of falling water that is Northern California’s, beautiful Burney Falls has a quality of charm and delicacy that captures my imagination.
As is often the case, the reality of photography can be quite different. Waterfalls are often loud, breezy and misty wet. The conditions are not always ideal and can be especially inhospitable to the camera gear. This is frequently the challenge of photographing landscapes… and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
