A Moose navigates the shallows of Wonder Lake in Denali National Park. I was hoping for a glimpse of Denali and its reflections on this particular morning, but the sky clouded up and a breeze kicked up. No mountain. No mirrored reflections of the great mountain.
As what often happens in the wild, plans go awry and you have to find new opportunities. I didn’t have to wait long before this opportunity strolled into my view and started grazing on the aquatic grasses growing from the bottom of the lake. It was a wonder.
