Erosion

Erosion began in the Badlands of South Dakota about a half million years ago. (I think it was on a Wednesday.) The soft sedimentary rocks here erode at a rate of about an inch per year. At the continuing rate of erosion, scientists estimate that in another half million years it will all be gone. It’s worth experiencing before it goes away.
