Can you see the shoulder hump on this bear? It’s one of the recognizable features that distinguish the Grizzly (Brown bear) from Black bears. There are more differences of course like the shape of the head, ears and claws. Oddly, the one thing that isn’t a good indicator is color. Both Brown bears and Black bears are found in a wide array of shades from dark to light.
