Ready Or Not!

Ready or not, here comes another landing at Bolsa Chica but this time it’s not so elegant looking. In contrast to yesterday’s beautiful Great Egret, this comical Cormorant looks about as streamlined as a joshua tree. Even its reflection is a mess. That said, despite their looks, both these and the egrets do quite well in the southern California coastal wetlands.
