Sometimes, when I’m looking through the lens, it seems these extremely fast cars are going to end up in my lap! And yes, there is a wall between me and the track. The fact of the matter is the cars are very much in control as they round the turn and are past me before I know it. What I’m really concentrating on is getting a good shot at that split second when the light and action come together. Still, that didn’t keep me from bailing out a couple of times!
