In the distance, Denali (“The Great One”) finally makes an appearance after two weeks of hiding. Renown as a weather maker, the massive mountain is often shrouded in clouds of its own making. The promise of a clearing day prompted an unplanned daytrip from Fairbanks to hopefully catch a glimpse of North America’s highest peak. Again I’m reminded that if you’re not there, you don’t get the shot.
