At almost 10,000 feet in elevation, all it takes in October is one decent snowfall to close Yosemite’s Tioga Pass for the season. This year however, it was wide open and allowing access from the eastern side of the Sierra.
What you are looking at on this fine autumn morning is the Tuolumne River meandering through Tuolumne Meadows with glacier scraped Lembert Dome in the middle distance.
