In just a couple of weeks, the air over the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge will be filled with tens of thousands migrating birds and the land will be equally crowded with thousands of photographers, naturalists and bird enthusiasts. Right now though, I literally have the whole place to myself.
Without the great noisy flocks of birds, Bosque is more about quiet, atmospheric landscapes. On one chilly foggy morning, this arching white (fog?)bow followed me around for over an hour.
