Chaotic? I really don’t think so, but there are those who insist that a composition without a singular focus or subject is just that. This is a different kind of subject. The subject here is about rhythm defined by the shape and direction of the branches that pull the viewer back and forth, speeding up and slowing down as they twist and turn across the image. Chaos gives way to movement and direction.
Incidentally, this leafy canopy of trees and Spanish moss spans a road on Amelia Island in northeastern Florida.
